While there are many varieties throughout the world, our leaves are harvested & carefully dried to preserve the natural essential oils of the herb. White Sage is an herb that has been used for smudging, cleansing and purification since ancient times and can be used by people from all walks of life to cleanse a space. This connection between the smoke and spirit is to remove negative energy, opening up the space or yourself, to receive positive energy. Smudge along with one of our Sweetgrass Braids to invite more positive energy. Our sage can be used in cooking, herbal teas and as you desire.
These sticks are 2.5 ounces, approximately 19 inches long with a diameter of 1-2 inches. Do not leave unattended or around children unsupervised.
Our White Sage is sustainably grown and harvested in Midwest/Great Plains Region of the US. In the wild, white sage can often grow to heights of six feet tall and many feet in diameter which is why we are able to offer such a long smudge stick. Our sage is harvested during the summer before its seeded. It’s never dried with artificial heat to avoid the dried cracked feeling of typical sage – which releases that burnt smelling smoke that can be unpleasant and overwhelming.
